Mr. George Proicou comes to EnteraTech with significant grant writing experience, beginning seven years ago as a member of the BIOMEC grants team when they were the largest recipient of NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant awards in the country. Mr. Proicou has both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining EnteraTech, he was Principal Engineer for Ventaira Pharmaceuticals, a spinout of Battelle Memorial Institute. While at Ventaira, Mr. Proicou led the manufacturing scale up of the company's novel pulmonary drug inhaler. At BIOMEC, Mr. Proicou was responsible for development engineering and project management of incubating technologies, in addition to grant writing. Prior to BIOMEC, Mr. Proicou was employed for nine years at Abbott Nutrition (Ross Products Division) as a Senior Project Leader, developing and commercializing many healthcare products. His passion is technology commercialization.
