Dr. William D. Timmons, President, CTO, and founder of EnteraTech, Inc., has over 20 years experience in technology innovation and development. He received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1992. After an academic stint at The University of Akron, he founded his first company in Cuyahoga Falls in 1997. He later joined BIOMEC, Inc., the largest recipient of NIH SBIR grants in the country, where he rose to become Director of Grants Procurement. In 2003, Emerging Concepts, Inc., Cincinnati, Ohio, appointed him Director of Technology Assessment where he helped lead a turn-around, overseeing the submission of $2.3 million in federal SBIR Phase I grants his first year, with nearly a 100% success rate. In 2004, he formed EnteraTech, where he raised $900,000 in SBIR funds for EnteraTech in just six months. His team has helped raise more than $50 million in grants for themselves and others. Dr. Timmons is a national speaker for the IEEE, has spoken at national NIH workshops, has received multiple Federal, State, and private technology grants, and has over 50 publications.
